France, desk or table clock, case with gilt brass frame set with beveled glasses, rear door with plain glass, the top with gilt birds, case front and sides with bowknot suspended floral garlands, classically inspired scrolled foliate element below dial, on a white marble base with inset grape and leaf ornament, on beaded toupie feet, brilliant set bezel with convex beveled glass, Roman numeral white enamel dial with Arabic black outer 5 minute markers, and with polychrome floral swag decoration, gilt Louis XV style hands, small 8 day time only movement with cylinder platform, c1910
CONDITION:
case very good, a bit dirty, and with minor losses to gilding, case frame with minor spotting, base with a few minor flakes, bezel very good, dial and hands very good, clock is running, hairspring with minor rust, movement dirty, should be serviced
